Install tracking

Add the analytics snippet to a site, or use the WordPress plugin.

Analytics settings

Analytics here is cookie-free. It counts visits without cookies and without knowing who anyone is.

Your hosted blog is already measured; there is nothing to install. For a site hosted elsewhere, you add a small script once.

Option 1: the script

  1. In your dashboard, open Analytics → Settings. Your install snippet is there, with its status next to it.

  2. Copy it. It looks like this, with your own site ID:

    <script defer data-site-id="YOUR-SITE-ID" src="https://spintaxifycms.com/js/analytics.js"></script>
  3. Paste it into your site's HTML, just before the closing head tag, on every page you want measured.

  4. Visit your site once. Then open Analytics and hit Refresh. The status flips to Working, and Settings shows when the last visit came in.

Option 2: WordPress

Use the WordPress plugin option in Analytics → Settings instead of editing theme files. Put your site ID in the plugin settings and save.

If nothing shows up

The Online now counter and the Realtime view react within seconds of a visit, and pageviews, bounce rate and session time update when you refresh Analytics.

Note: if it is still empty after a few minutes, the usual cause is a site ID that got changed while copying. Check that the script on the page you visited matches the snippet exactly.
