Connect a custom domain
Serve your blog from your own domain instead of the hosted address.
Your blog starts on a hosted address, spintaxifycms.com/b/your-blog-name. If you would rather use your own domain — blog.example.com, or the root domain itself — connect it under Domains.
Connect it
- Open Domains in your blog's dashboard.
- Add the domain and follow the steps shown.
- At your registrar, add the DNS record the dashboard gives you. Copy it exactly.
- Back in Domains, verify.
DNS changes usually spread within a few minutes. They can take up to a day. Both are normal.
Note: most failed verifications are a record that was typed in wrong or only half copied. If it still has not verified after a day, remove the domain, compare the record at your registrar character by character, and add it again. My blog is not loading covers the other causes.
Your hosted address keeps working while the domain connects, so the blog stays up during the switch.
